No one will notice we’re gone…

Fifteen minutes into sketching, Bucky blinked one sleepy eye open.
Steve paused mid-line. “Sorry,” he said apologetically; he knew how hard a good night’s sleep was for Buck these days. “M’I bothering you?”
“Nah,” Bucky mumbled after a moment, words beginning to slur as he sank back into sleep. “S’alright. I missed this.”

I finally had the opportunity to collaborate with one of my favorite artists, artgroves, as we were both drawn to recluse Bucky in his cat-filled cabin in the woods. Alby may have got the cats, but I got the hug… DRAW THE HUG YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD. And thanks to our lovely author, coldwinterrose, for her beautiful words. It’s been a pleasure working with you both.

After James’ rescue in 1991, he felt like he’d built a pretty good, if slightly lonely, life for himself. He had a beautiful cabin in the woods, his cats for company, and his woodworking and knitting to keep him busy. One day though, he gets a phone call that could change everything.
When Steve woke to an unexpected and shocking future, he was at a loss for what to do with himself. There were no more wars to fight, and no home to go back to. He struggled to figure out who he is in this new world; until he finds that maybe he didn’t lose as much as he first thought.
