I only realized this a few hours after watching the movie (Captain Marvel) but just this once there was no love interest for the main character in a superhero movie, which left more space to emphasize the platonic and family relationships and honestly? it’s balm for my soul. kid-me would’ve needed that. pass it on Carol Danvers is a GODDESS for defeating amatonormativity in one movie and hopefully ending Thanos in the next one.

What she means: The reason Bucky Barnes clips his backpack to his chest so damn tight is because there's notebooks with all his memories because he's afraid of getting brainwashed again and all his memories of Steve. What is in those notebooks explicitly. Civil war comes out in 50 some days and no one is prepared for nearly 2.5 hour mess of tears and the ultimate fight between captain America and iron man. No one is ready.
